Downloaded the Lite version of the new Noob 1.3 raspberry pi image.
Things i like: Super fast download and super fast copy to SD card. Basically your just getting the NOOB software and NO images. So if you didn’t want to use the raw image or you like the NOOB bootup options but you only want ONE iso type, this is a nice way to go and is probably faster than the full NOOB download. The multiboot options is super nice too. I haven’t checked to see how much space it gives each os, but as the video below shows it JUST WORKS. So instead of swapping out a bunch of SD cards to try different setups you can have one big card and just choose what you want. Really great. Also, you will obviously always have the most up to date ISO.
What i didnt like: Really really long time to download and install. No way to choose from where you are getting images when you download. I think if speed in setting up is important to you, using lite is NOT the way to go. Your basically trading time for convenience.
Overall i like the new setup and will probably use it from now on mainly as I will no longer have to keep track of and download the most recent images.
